As of August 2023, NLC has resumed direct sales of our Passbooks study guides to our library customers. We’ve put together a quick-reference guide to help answer common questions you might have about account access and status, ordering procedures, title data, and other library-related matters.

Currently all of our 6,000+ Passbooks are available in our familiar green comb-bound editions.  Most Passbooks (approximately 4,500) are also available as library-friendly paperbacks.

Comb-bound editions ship from our Syosset warehouse within 1-2 business days.  Paperback editions are printed and bound offsite and require extra time for shipment and delivery.

You can place orders for both comb-bound and paperback Passbooks on our website. To place an order for comb-bound books, simply go to checkout and submit your order.

To place an order for paperback editions, please use the "Order Comments" box at checkout to specify that you want paperback Passbooks.

Please note that all website orders will be fulfilled with comb-bound editions unless otherwise noted at checkout or discussed with a Passbooks rep.

Yes.  At the billing part of checkout, select the “Pay On Terms – Libraries” option.  This will allow you to submit your order without payment.  You will receive a bill with your shipment.

No, just follow the instructions above for submitting an order.  However, having an account will allow you to see order history and other information.

If you’ve been ordering paperback (blue/white) books through IPG, you can continue to do so by calling IPG at (800) 888-4741 or emailing orders@ipgbook.com.  If you’ve been ordering comb-bound books, you will need to place orders direct from Passbooks, as these editions are no longer sold by IPG.

Also note that we are unable to carry over your account history and other information from your IPG account to a new account on Passbooks.com. Please contact IPG if necessary to retrieve account information.

Copyright dates are temporarily unavailable on our website.  You can find copyright dates in our printed catalog, our digital catalog or by inquiring directly.

We update our Passbooks catalog approximately 2-4 times each year. You can request a catalog with an order, or you can call or email for an updated copy (free for libraries).

We also distribute an email newsletter seasonally to library subscribers. These newsletters alert librarians to upcoming exams, new title additions and special discounts. Sign up to receive these emails by sending a note to info@passbooks.com.
