Career exams for New York park and recreation positions scheduled for March

Many parks and recreation positions are currently open for registration across New York State with open-competitive and promotional exams scheduled for March 2.

On the state level, candidates can register for Park Manager (1, 2, 3) and Park Supervisor (1, 2) exams.  These tests require knowledge of park business operations, park maintenance, supervision, interacting with the public, and more.  Similar supervisory and managerial positions are open in many cities, counties and towns across NYS.

Counties across the state are testing for specialized maintenance, managerial and assistant managerial positions in parks/recreation departments.  Here is a sample of county exams currently open for registration:

• Beach Supervisor (Suffolk)
• Manager, Recreation Center (Nassau)
• Park Superintendent (Onondaga)
• Head Groundskeeper (Saratoga)

Exams scheduled for March 2 are open for registration until January 15-20 (check your local jurisdiction for exact deadlines).
